My Story

Running a half marathon isn't a big deal for me, but what I'm running for is. 

In March 2023 my mum was diagnosed with colan cancer. News that really hit me hard, for someone who means so much to me. 

We got lucky...her cancer was spotted early enough that a surgical operation was enough, without the need for treatment. 

Many others aren't, with recurrence in about 30-40% who've completed colan cancer treatment. 

So I'm running to raise awareness and to help this great cause. 

Check your poop and don't ignore the symptoms.
