Lee Roake Fundraiser For Sight For Surrey
Lee Roake
My Story
Thank you for visiting my page. I am about to take on my biggest and hardest challenge of my life so far to help people like myself. As most of you are aware I have an ultra rare genetic condition called WAGR Syndrome and I am one of approximately five hundred people world wide who have this. I am registered blind and have been supported by Sight For Surrey since I was three years old. They continue to support and help me to live with my sight loss for example be as independent as possible. Without there help and guidance I wouldn't be where I am now. They are a magnificent charity that support children and adults who are blind or partially sighted, also they support those who are deaf or hard of hearing in the Surrey area. Every year I try to give a little back to charities that have helped and supported me through my life. So I have decided to take on the Big Half in London on September 1st to help raise funds for this fabulous charity. So please if you can spare a pound or two to help others like myself it would be most appreciated. Please check my page regularly to see how I'm getting on with my training to complete the 13.1 miles. This will be a massive achievement for me. Once again thank you all for your support.
