My Story

Hello

I’m Promise and I work for Southside Partnership (which is known as Certitude to all my friends and family).

This September I will be running a half marathon all across London which will be a 13.1-mile course weaving through London from Tower Bridge to the iconic Cutty Sark in Greenwich.

I’m doing this on the 1st of September 2024. It is a huge challenge for me as its my first ever half marathon.

As you know I am a house manager for Certitude, and I know the impact the money we raise has for people we support. For example, £600 that was given to me by garden to plate project allowed me to set up a huge allotment space for people we support to practise and learn new gardening skills.

I know how much of a difference £300 can make to my charity. They have fantastic projects going on at the moment. They are focused on arts, crafts, music, football and gardening. These projects help people with mental health or a learning disability to make new friends and connections in their local communities, something many of us take for granted every day.

This is my passion and dream, and Certitude make it happen every day for many people in London. 😊

£10 - will allow people we support to practise their cooking and gardening skills. 

£25- will allow us to purchase paints and printmaking equipment for our expressive arts projects.

£50 -will allow us to deliver a music session to a group of people we support 

100% donations will go towards these programmes.
