My Story
I am taking on The Big Half again this year and running to raise money for AMMF The Cholangiocarcinoma Charity.
Although cholangiocarcinoma (pronounced kol-an-gee-oh-car-sin-oh-ma) or bile duct cancer, is considered rare, worldwide it is the second most common primary liver cancer. It is difficult to diagnose accurately and early, so by the time of diagnosis it is often too advanced for surgery – which is currently the only potential cure.
This is the cancer my Mum had so hence why I want to fundraiser for this charity.
One of AMMF’s major objectives is to support specialised research teams in their work to find the causes, methods of earlier diagnosis, and effective treatments for cholangiocarcinoma (CCA).
So if you can help and make a donation I will be extremely grateful and hopefully help towards better diagnosis and treatments.
